Foundation is committed to developing the small, remote farming village communities in and around Channapatna, in the southern state of Karnataka. There are four areas in which foundation is concentrating its efforts:

  • 1. Health care.
  • 2. Education
  • 3. Social welfare and relief
  • 4. Community development

HEALTH CARE

For those in rural area, health care is often inaccessible or, in the rare localities that it is accessible, too expensive for many.Within many rural communities around India, problems exist within families. They include those related to the widespread consumption of alcoholism, AIDS and HIV infection Regularly collect information about people in the community with varying health problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, severe anemia and other health problems Store information in computer

  • allow existing records and data to be stored in a database
  • allow reports to be created
  • allow drug usage and purchase to be monitored
  • allow data to be accessed easily
  • allow patient histories to be maintained
  • Ambulatory service
  • Help improve Hospitals
  • Establish charitable hospital, provide free service, and provide medicine
  • Train people in the remote area when someone in critical condition such as heart attack, accidents(First Aid and CPR training)
  • Conduct health awareness classes

EDUCATION

  • Provision of desks and fans for classrooms
  • Construction of fencing around the school
  • Computer classes for the children, computer training for teachers, and on-call support for technical problems with computers
  • Health, hygiene, and physical education initiatives development.
  • Construction of the school's first toilet facilities, as previously children had no option but to relieve themselves in public in unsanitary conditions. In addition, employ a local caretaker for these toilets to ensure that they are cleaned, monitored and maintained.
  • Awareness of safe drinking water
  • Public safety awareness
  • Traditional arts – bharatha natya, sangeeta, classical and vocal music
  • Provide training for Competitive exams
  • Conduct Vocational classes – Telephone repairs, TV refrigerator repairs, automobile repairs
  • Provision of a school kitchen
  • Employment of one full-time teacher to assist the school to combat the problem of poor teacher attendance, with the aim of eventually employing more teachers
  • Regular after-school English tuition classes organized and monitored by social workers, and run by Foundation volunteers.
